The Canada Emergency Business Account qualifications have been updated, as have banking online portals.
Here are the main changes.
- Program enrollment deadline extended to August 31
- Sole proprietorship’s are now eligible to enroll
- Businesses with annual payroll expenses under $20,000 now eligible to enroll. They are required to provide proof of annual non-deferrable expenses between $40,000- $1,500,000 to enroll in CEBA. These documents will be uploaded to a separate government portal
If you did not qualify before, there is a good chance you do now.
These applications are strictly done through your regular online banking. You will see a banner asking you to apply when you login.
